Carolina Calling

This was our first time at this location and there are sooo many nice things to say about the property. The location was great; oceanfront and fairly easy to navigate to the beach and to nearby restaurants who offered take out. The pool size was wonderful (the spa part not so much as it really wasn't a hot tub and was too hard to get in & out of). We brought a 2+ year old who needed the pool for therapy and it was perfect. The house was decorated so nicely and felt like a home. The carpeted stairs made it easier on our older achy knees and the bedrooms had comfortable mattresses and chairs. The kitchen was a nice size for regular cooking and eating. And, oh my goodness, the back porch was fabulous for morning coffee and all day long playing with our granddaughter. The gate at the top of the stairs on the porch was a Godsend as we didn't have to worry about her tumbling down the stairs; allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves and the spacing on the "fencing" on the porch was perfect to keep her safe. The home was clean (the only thing they could have done better is to have the window sills inside cleaned more frequently). We loved this property and will be back as soon as we can. THIS IS A FANTASTIC RENTAL! We stayed at Carolina Calling for the second year in a row we love it so much. The house is beautiful, well maintained, spacious, and in a perfect spot. It is a about a mile from the Pier and away from hotels and high rises, so it is never crowded on the beach. The deck is incredible - both covered and uncovered area, with ample seating for meals and lounging. The view is spectacular. The pool and spa are such an added bonus to cool off, or swim in the evening. Dunes and the owners were incredibly customer service oriented and responsive in answering our questions. We plan to continue coming back and staying at Carolina Calling with our family each year. Dunes, and Wister, made booking and follow up questions easy and fun. All around 10 out of 10 plus!

'This is the 2nd year that we have rented Bates Cottage now called Carolina Calling and there have been many wonderful improvements. We really like this home and its location. It is tastefully decorated and family ready!! Hope to return next year! '
